Off To Germany Once Again

Hey,

It's Cassidy from Mechanical again. As you could see from last week's blog post, the lab was a bit of a mess after the experiment made it back from integration week. With the experiment off traveling again the lab is looking a little cleaner now. The last week has been full of last minute fixes. While there was a decent amount of things to be done, this time it didn't feel as hectic to finish everything ... but maybe I'm the only one who felt that way. From the mechanical standpoint there wasn't a whole lot to be done. Just some newly printed 3D parts and camera covers to be made. Electrical and software were the groups that did all the work last week. Since it is generally best for me, as well as the rest of the mechanicals, to steer clear of those two sections, I can't fill you in very well about what was done. What I can tell you is that the experiment left for the bench test better than it returned from integration week and that's purely because of all the work that was done by members of the electrical and software teams over the last few days.

While I'm sure that over the next week more problems will have to be solved, the group going to the bench test is very capable and excellent problem solvers. Plus they have all of us left behind if they need any extra help thinking of solutions. It seems like it has taken forever to get to this point, but every time we send the experiment away we seem to be a bit more prepared, or at least better at hiding our stress. With the launch campaign coming up soon I hope this trend continues. But for now we'll have to wait until the end of the week to figure out how much we'll have to do before March. That's it from me, look forward to hearing from Nick next week.

Cya
